  • What do Full Service Movers and Packers do?

    Full-service movers offer all the services that customers may (or may not) need when moving their homes or office. They will follow a moving checklist to ensure that you have an accurate cost estimate, your special needs and questions are handled, and that your pickup and delivery dates are set accurately.

    The movers will then pack all of your belongings properly, load them in their truck safely, transport them to your new home, unpack everything, and set it all up where you want in your house. Full service movers will provide all the boxes, wrapping paper, tape, padding, furniture blankets, and equipment necessary to move your household items. A team of packers and loaders will swoop in, and before you know it, everything will be on their truck and on the road.

    A full service move is the very definition of “all inclusive” if that’s what you need.

  • When you pack up households almost every day, you get really good at packing. Trained packers know how to ensure fragile items won’t get broken during transport. They know how to pack clothes so they come out of the wardrobe box as clean and fresh as they went in. And, packers know how to use the space in different sized boxes to provide cushion and protection for your belongings, as well as fit everything in the right space.

    Full service movers will transport almost everything you own. However, you may have to transport firearms and ammunition yourself. You also will not be able to ship flammable liquids like gasoline or propane, household chemicals like paint thinner or drain cleaner, aerosols, and other flammable or explosive objects – like fireworks.

  • When it’s time to pack your things, Equinox® packers come to your home with all the necessary materials.
    • They will need a flat, open surface, such as a counter or table, on which to work.
    • They will carefully hand-wrap breakable items and place them in special cartons.
    • They will hang clothes in wardrobe cartons so your effects are ready to wear when you unpack.
    • For large, delicate items, like antique furniture, our packers wrap and cushion them for safe transit.
    • If needed, they will build wooden crates to protect larger breakables, such as crystal chandeliers.
